My buddy Steve messaged me the day prior asking if I want to go on a road trip to a big car show at the Harpers Ferry Brewery in Purceville. I was never one to turn down a road trip; he agreed to meet with me super early to enjoy a cool morning start. We started out the trip letting me drive his silver Miata to get a taste of the new car lifestyle. Being an old school car fanatic, he had to do a lot of convincing. I led him through the deep twisty fun backroads through the county I grew up in as we veered north toward the Maryland state line for the brewery in my FX20. The brewery location on top of the overlook was definitely breath-taking. It was a popular car show with the widest variety of cars showing up, from Street Rods from the 1930s to the legendary Detroit muscle era cars to exotics to brand new cars one may have trouble determining if they were there to show off their car or just park there to dine at the brewery.
We spotted a bear carved in the wood and placed on a stump, he has the best view of the area.
The bear’s view.
Due to overcrowding at the brewery, Steve and I crossed into Maryland where we found a neat burger joint in Brunswick and spotted a caboose.
Along the way we stopped to take a peek at the new GR Corolla that the owner just picked up two days prior. I had to park the FX20 next to it and take a comparison pic.
