Inaugural MANCA Cruise: 1/1/23

A very successful New Years Day (first) cruise is in the books! We found willing participants that would wake up before sunrise on the first day of the year (after NYE celebration) and travel 1-3 hours to the meet up point/start line. We headed into West Virginia to see wild and wonderful (and warm at 60°!) Monongahela National Forest and Seneca Rocks! Some of us attempted the dirt/rocky road to see Switzer Lake. Our cars logged up to 400 miles for the day. At the end of our route we discovered a coin-operated self-serve car wash with a broken timer and we took advantage of that.

If you are interested in full day/weekend trips in the car(s) you love, let us know! We plan to be hosting several trips this year!

My buddy Sam and I took turns swapping my AW11 and my FX20 throughout the day. Steve (Gray Miata) also wanted to see what the AW11 was about while I got a taste of his vert life.

Jimmy the leader of the pack and navigator brought out his Supercharged AW11 for some fun twisties. The unusually warm winter weather encouraged him to remove the T-tops.

Peter brought out his GT86 although he is itching to finish his Beams AE86 completely restored and ready to rally ASAP.

I have an appreciation for finding signs that post a double negative, like this one at Switzer Lake. See if you can spot it.

This picture looks like it would have come out of a brochure for selling MR2s.
